Following which we ended up on the deck with cold beer and Dorian and I doing all sorts of animal calls out into the forest: moose, bears, cows, monkeys, alligators, horses, giraffes, crows and turkeys. I think Aunty Marcy and Pam are probably very grateful that the neighbours weren't outside and well, if they were, I'm sure the explanation that we are the "special" family members visiting from Manitoba will be enough said.

I'm telling you, it's the heat here! It makes you do crazy things after a while!!!!!!
We chowed on Aunty Marcy's scrumptions shrimp scampi and chocolate cream pie for dinner and took off to catch Adam Sandlers "Grown Up". Cute movie. Had some good laughs.
Set the alarm for 6 this morning and the 3 of us set out on a Whale Watching adventure, and boy did we ever see whales!!! It was a 4 hour cruise and we spent probably a good hour and a half, maybe more watching them. The dock was in Hyannis, which is about 20 minutes West of Chatham, still in Cape Cod. It took about an hour and a bit to get out into the ocean, and once we were there and once we saw them, it was incredible. The first blow I saw and the first tail I saw dive brought tears to my eyes. These are amazing, awe-inspiring, HUGE creatures. We saw humpbacks and minkes and a glimpse of a fin whale. Amazing. I do have pictures but the video is just so much better. I'll try to download it. Let me know if it works, ok?

We got back to Chatham and stopped at a little restuarant known for their burritos. We were starving, breakfast consisted of coffee and granola bars out the door.
We came back, let Dorian get some R&R and went out for drinks to Chatham Bars Inn, the beach grill....
In this heat, those drinks were going down mighty fine!!
Tonight is seafood night: lobsters, "steamers", corn, slaw, rolls. Oh, it's a good life right now. Yes indeed, a very good life.

Hi guys! The video came through beautifully...what an experience!! Sounds like you are having a great time,,it's gonna be very hard to leave!! Say hi to Marci and Pam for both of us...missing you! And Dale, guess what? Took the boat out yesterday and dinged our brand new prop! Randy, our mechanic says there are 2 kinds of boaters...those who hit rocks and those who are about to!!!
