It's 6 in the morning and I'm sitting outside by the pool sweating already. It's 95F already. The boys had a good day yesterday but it's so hot it's hard to really enjoy yourself. Pictures and a video of the changing of the guard will follow later. Our camera died on us and I don't know how to download items from Dorian's. I'll have them give a low down of their day this evening. They went to the National Archives and the Lincoln Memorial.
Today we catch the Metro into Washington at 9 and the White House tour is at 10:30. I think Dorian's most excited about having a "code name". It is pretty cool actually. I think it's just the East Wing we get to go into. Six months of waiting for word from the Canadian Embassy for this. I hope it's worth it.
This afternoon we hit the Spy Museum. We've heard some pretty awesome reviews - it's interactive and I believe we have a task to complete before we can leave. LOL! It's probably cheesy but I'm sure fun nonetheless.
Tomorrow is the Holocaust Museum. In speaking with some new friends I've made here, tomorrow will likely be the most intense day of our lives. I imagine it will be.
Thinking of you in Winnipeg....

Morning guys..we've been watching the news about all the intense heat you have been getting...its all along the eastern seaboard..good news is it's supposed to be lifting by the time you get to New York. We got another storm last night and another 1/4" of rain...sickening!!! We were out on the boat all afternoon yesterday and wanted to go for a dip, but after all the rain on Sunday the water temp was down to 71..a little too cool for me!! Have a great day...looking forward to your next post!
