Looking for a way to move to Boston...

Welcome to Boston.  I LOVE it here so much I'm trying to figure out a way to stay.  LOL!  I wish we had more time to explore but I'm quite anxious to get home.  Dale and I are planning another trip here, possibly next year.  If we happen to win the lottery before then we might have just found our new home.

We didn't get a chance to do very much yesterday.  We walked around downtown for a good while, stopping at the legendary "Mike's City Diner", for those of you who are Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive" fans, for their Pilgram sandwiches.  A meal made directly from heaven I think:  fresh roasted turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing sandwiches.  A-a-a-a-mazing, and most importantly, zero calories.

We eventually made our way over to Fenway to do some browsing and take in the atmosphere.  It was about 6 hours before the game but the streets were busy, the Vendors setting up and would you believe there was already a line-up to get in the stadium??  Crazy.  We found a coupon for 10% off game day Red Sox items so Dorian bought himself a Red Sox jersey (#19, Josh Beckett, Red Sox starting pitcher, for more info see:  http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6403/news), and I a Red Sox tank top and we continued our wander through Downtown Boston.

We came back to the hotel to change into our "game gear" and we ventured back again a couple hours before game time.  Oh it was FUN!!  The beer flowed and the food called our names.  We had standing only tickets and after walking all day and standing all night, it made for a very long day on our feet.  But let me tell you, it was all worth it.  There were times when we couldn't see much of the game but it was still such an experience just to be there.  The atmosphere was incredible. (And I should also mention that the people in Boston are incredible.  They have to be the friendliest and most polite people we've ever come across on our trip so far.)  I really mean it when I say that I hope Dale and I can come back.  I would recommend this City to everyone.  It has it all:  the history, the beauty, the fantastic people, good coffee, great restaurants, excellent baseball.....

We left early because our feet and legs were pretty sore.  Unfortunately the Sox were losing and Dorian didn't get the chance to see Beckett pitch but we loved every minute we were there.  We stayed until the top of the 7th or so.

As much as I would really love to stay and play, we are running a little low on funds and I'm running a little low on patience.  :)  Travelling like this is wonderful in theory; it has had its good moments but I'd be lying if I didn't say that we're starting to get on each other's nerves a little at this point.  It's time to head home.

Next stop:  Rochester, NY.
